Composition and Usage

This assembly generally includes the bleed screw, the sealing washer, and, depending on the design, the threaded housing. It is mounted at the highest point of the filter head to facilitate the escape of air, which would otherwise impede the flow of diesel to the injection pump.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In case of leaks or defective venting, replacing the entire assembly may be more effective than just the bleed screw. Compatibility is based on the standard design of the CAV 296 filter head.
