Fitting tipsPrior to installing the new Granit 38017898 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean and degrease the engine block mounting pad, removing all old gasket remnants, carbon, and dirt. Always install a new mounting flange gasket. Ensure the drive mechanism aligns correctly with the drive lobe on the engine shaft. Torque the mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the engine manufacturer's specified rating. Reconnect the fuel inlet and outlet lines securely and manually prime the low-pressure fuel circuit to bleed out air bubbles before cranking the engine.
