Fitting tipsPrior to installing the new silentblock cords, thoroughly clean the internal channels of the disc arm housing and 80x80 mm frame clamp, removing dirt, rust, and remnants of worn rubber. To facilitate smooth installation of the 40x230 mm cords into their retention pockets, apply a thin coat of neutral liquid soap or specialized rubber assembly lubricant (do not use petroleum-based grease or oil as they cause rubber swelling and premature degradation). Position all four dampening cords evenly, ensuring complete alignment within their seats before tightening the clamp bolts to specification.
