Fitting tipsBefore beginning replacement, completely lower or release air pressure from the seat suspension to relieve all mechanical tension from the mounting pins. Withdraw the retaining pins or bolts, take out the worn damper, and clean the mounting brackets thoroughly. Align the 8 mm eyelets of the new shock absorber with the suspension brackets, ensuring the 24 mm body has full clearance through its movement range. Reinsert the mounting pins with a light film of grease and secure retaining clips or nuts, checking that the seat moves freely throughout its 155 to 220 mm travel range.
