Fitting tipsPark the tractor on level ground, apply the handbrake, raise the front axle using a heavy-duty hydraulic jack, and securely support it with weight-rated jack stands. Dismount the front wheel and carefully disassemble the planetary final drive and wheel hub assembly to access the axle housing. Slide out the worn half-shaft smoothly to avoid damaging the inner axle oil seal seated within the axle casing. Thoroughly clean the inner axle tube of contaminants and inspect the oil seal; it is strongly advised to replace axle seals and mating O-rings during installation. Lubricate spline profiles and cardan joints, then align and slide the new 0.024.6131.4 axle shaft into position, ensuring splines seat cleanly into the differential and planetary drive. Reassemble the hub components, torque all fasteners to SDF service manual specifications, and refill the front axle housing and final drive hubs with fresh gear oil before testing.
