Installation Advice & Workshop Notes: Before installation, dismantle the interior door pillar trim to reach the rear securing fasteners and carefully disconnect the linkage rod retaining clip connected to the door latch mechanism (65412001 on LH or 65412036 on RH). Remove the old handle and clean the mounting surface of dust and grease. Position the supplied molded rubber gasket flush against the door sheet metal to seal against water and dust infiltration. Tighten mounting nuts or screws progressively to avoid warping the polymer housing. Finally, adjust the actuator rod length so that the handle retains approximately 1–2 mm of initial free play before engaging the latch pawl, ensuring light, smooth opening and positive perimeter weatherseal compression upon closure.
