Installation Advice & Workshop Notes: Prior to installation, remove the internal door service cover to gain access to the rear retaining hardware and disconnect the linkage rod retaining clip from the latch (65417020 LH or 65417021 RH). If re-using the existing key barrel, release the internal retaining spring clip and slide the lock cylinder into the new handle body until it clicks into place. Ensure the molded rubber sealing gasket is seated flush against the exterior door panel to seal against water and dust ingress. Tighten mounting fasteners progressively to avoid distorting the polymer casing.
