Fitting tipsPrior to installing the new Granit 3802567 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean the mounting pad face on the engine block, removing all old gasket material, grease, and dirt. Inspect the camshaft eccentric lobe for flat spots or excessive wear. Always fit a new flange gasket (matching code 38002777) dry or with a light coating of gasket grease. Guide the pump lever carefully against the camshaft eccentric and tighten the 4 mounting fasteners evenly in a cross pattern to the specified torque. Reconnect the fuel inlet and outlet lines, then manually prime the fuel system using the hand primer lever to bleed air bubbles before cranking the engine.
