Fitting tipsPrior to installing the new Granit 12538713 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean and degrease the engine block mounting surface, removing all traces of old gasket material, grease, and dirt. Always fit a fresh mounting gasket. Ensure the pump drive lever is properly guided against the camshaft eccentric lobe during installation. Tighten mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the engine manufacturer's specified torque rating. Securely attach fuel inlet and outlet lines and manually bleed the low-pressure fuel system prior to initial engine startup.
