Fitting tipsPrior to servicing with the Granit 380SR172 repair kit, remove the fuel pump assembly from the engine block and disassemble it on a clean workbench. Thoroughly wash all internal body castings to remove sludge, old fuel lacquers, and gasket remnants. Replace each worn internal diaphragm and seal with its matching replacement from the kit, ensuring correct orientation of check valves and diaphragm seats. Reassemble the pump housing by tightening body screws evenly in a cross pattern. Fit the pump back onto the engine using a new flange gasket and bleed all air from the low-pressure fuel line before starting the engine.
