Fitting tipsPrior to installing the Granit 38015666 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean the mounting surface on the engine block, removing all dirt, oil residue, and old gasket material. Always fit a new mounting gasket to ensure a complete seal against oil and fuel leaks. Insert the pump carefully to ensure the drive arm or plunger correctly seats onto the camshaft eccentric without binding. Tighten mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the manufacturer's torque specifications. Fully bleed air from the low-pressure fuel circuit before attempting to start the engine.
