Installation Advice & Workshop Notes: To replace the exterior handle, remove the internal door lining to access the rear securing bolts and disconnect the plastic snap clip securing the latch actuator rod (connected to latch 65402123 on LH or 65402124 on RH). If re-using the existing key barrel, release the internal retaining spring clip and transfer the lock cylinder into the new handle body. Ensure the perimeter rubber base gasket is seated flush against the door exterior skin to seal against moisture and dust. Fasten the mounting screws evenly to avoid stressing the polymer housing. Adjust the threaded linkage rod so the external push button has approximately 1–2 mm of initial free play before engaging the latch pawl, ensuring effortless operation and full weatherseal compression upon closing.
