Fitting tipsPrior to installing the Granit 38050001 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean the engine block mounting area, removing all old gasket remnants, oil, and debris. Always install a new mounting gasket (matching code 38002777) to guarantee a tight seal against oil and fuel leaks. Carefully align the operating lever onto the camshaft eccentric during insertion. Fasten the 4 flange bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the engine manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. Bleed all trapped air from the low-pressure fuel circuit before attempting to start the engine.
