Essential low-pressure fuel delivery component engineered to transfer diesel fuel from the fuel tank to the main injection pump with stable pressure and flow rate. Purpose-built for the renowned 4-cylinder Perkins 1000 Series engine family (specifically 1004.4, 1004.40, 1004.42, and derivative naturally aspirated/turbocharged variants), ensuring rapid self-priming, constant air evacuation, and maximum long-term durability. Fitting tipsPrior to installing the new Granit 3802697 fuel lift pump, thoroughly clean and degrease the engine block mounting surface, removing all remnants of old gasket material, grime, and oil. Inspect the camshaft eccentric lobe for flat spots or excessive wear. Place the supplied new flange gasket onto the mounting surface without applying excessive liquid RTV silicone, preventing extruded sealant from clogging internal oil passages. Carefully insert the pump drive lever into the engine block bore against the eccentric lobe and torque the 4 mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern to factory specifications. Reconnect fuel lines and manually prime the low-pressure fuel system to bleed out air before starting the engine.
