Fitting tipsBefore installing the new Granit 38015733 sealing ring, ensure the end of the 5/16" rigid or semi-rigid fuel line is completely clean, deburred, and free from longitudinal scratches. Remove all remnants of the old hardened seal from the fitting nut socket. Slide the new sealing ring onto the fuel line, applying a light coat of clean diesel fuel to aid smooth positioning. Thread and tighten the union nut to the manufacturer's torque specification, taking care not to over-torque and distort the sealing ring excessively.
